Ayman Essawy is a Co-founder and Managing Director of Lucky, a leading credit-enabled consumer commerce network for underbanked users in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

Founded in 2019, Lucky deploys innovative efforts to enable its users to have access to the most ubiquitous credit experience via its ‘save now, pay later’ approach.

Before taking on the challenge of tackling the accessibility and usability problems of financial products with Lucky, Ayman co-founded Dsquares, one of the leading loyalty solutions providers in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region for over a decade.

Prior to co-founding DSquares, Ayman held a senior marketing role at Vodafone Egypt where he led the brand’s digital and VAS functions. He also has held different operational roles in the financial services sector.

Ayman has extensive experience in developing operational businesses in emerging markets and has a proven business management track record in technology, product, and business development.

Recognized by Forbes Middle East in 2020 & 2022, as a cofounder of one of the Top 50 Most-Funded Startups in the Middle East.
