Dareen Barbar, Lebanese born on 19th January 1978. A Motivational Speaker, Life Coach and an aspiring Athlete. Dareen stepped onto the World stage after making history in the most glamorous events on the planet, the World, Beauty, Fitness and Fashion Show in London 2017, where she competed in the Transformation and Makeover Division and won. She became the first Arab Amputee to participate in such a pageant. She is an ambassador of inclusion for people of determination aka the disabled in the UAE. Lost her leg to cancer at the age of 15, which turned her life around. But that didn’t stop her from living her life to the full and overcoming the hardships. Her passion for sports was revived after her broken hip in 2013 that lead her to adopt a healthy life style of exercising and eating healthy and earned her fitness instructor and nutritionist qualification. She got awarded and honored in several events, for her achievements (DIAFA, Mena creators awards, IFBB, and was featured in many magazines, such as Vogue Arabia, Daily mail, Marie Claire. The first Arab amputee to complete a super sprint in Dubai women’s triathlon 2018. Dareen’s name entered history in June 2021 with her recent big achievement of breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest Samson’s chair sit, also known as a static wall sit, by a female contender. Dareen won the title after completing the sit for two minutes and 8.24 seconds, and the record also makes her the first female amputee to hold a Guinness World Record in the Middle East. Her journey has impacted and still impacting a lot of people from all over the world. Dareen is a brand ambassador for big nanes like adidas and Victoria’s Secret. Her latest achievements is her song BASMA بصمة. Dareen is a wife and a mother to two amazing kids. Her message is “disability is an extra-ordinary ability that makes the impossible possible”
