Dr. Hussam Ismael is an American board-certified surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has performed over 500 Robotic cases in the fields of General Surgery and Thoracic Oncology. He manages benign and malignant diseases of the chest and abdomen with special interest in lung and esophageal cancer. Dr. Hussam Ismael is an Assistant Professor of Surgery who is passionate about educating the next generation of surgeons and contributing to research and innovation. He completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital / Wayne State University followed by a general surgery residency at the University of South Florida. He then completed his fellowship in surgical thoracic oncology at Moffitt Cancer
