Malik Boukebbous currently serves as NMDC Group’s Director of the International Office where he oversees business development and commercial management for the company’s global operations.
Prior to this role, Mr. Boukebbous held senior positions at DEME, where he managed high-profile projects in Egypt and Libya. Notably, he secured the largest dredging and reclamation project in DEME’s history and introduced a green hydrogen development in Egypt, contributing to national environmental and climate goals.
His experience spans a variety of technical disciplines, including contaminated sediment handling, beach nourishment, and marine-based climate mitigation projects. He has successfully led teams on large-scale, complex projects such as the New Suez Canal Project and the Abu Qir Military Port Expansion, achieving significant operational and financial success while maintaining high standards for quality, health, safety, and environmental performance.
Mr. Boukebbous has a deep interest in leading cross cultural organizations driven by purpose and moral values. His publications in industry journals highlight his thought leadership, particularly in deep-sea dredging techniques.
He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven in Belgium.
