Rami Kadi is the Founder and Creative Director of Maison Rami Kadi. At the early age of 25, Rami started paving his professional designer career with the launch of his showroom and opening of his first atelier in the heart of Beirut: a home for him to create and show the world his Couture creations.
Thread by thread, from that showroom, Rami Kadi wove together unique evening dresses and bridal couture dresses whose impeccable reputation attracted a growing base of international clientele including royalty. Through his collections, he pays tribute to “hand-made” work, the art he is particularly fond of. Rami Kadi’s weak eyesight was never an obstacle, as Rami feels his fabrics and envisions them in his mind differently: “Sometimes, though, I remove my glasses and try to figure out what a fabric or detail is, and imagine it differently,” he says. To him, a pixelated vision, and an intriguing shimmer are the triggers for his love for shine. From his base of operations in Lebanon, Rami Kadi spread his passion for modern tailoring across the world, growing his couture house to become a present entity in the most exclusive top-tier events while maintaining its pioneering spirit of innovation in fashion and technology. Rami’s strong commitment to environmental causes within the field of sustainable fashion lies at the core of his work. In September 2020, Rami Kadi was designated the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Regional Goodwill Ambassador for Sustainable Fashion in West Asia.
