Basil Sulieman Al Ramahi, is responsible for the strategic direction, vision, growth and performance of EMDAD. He first joined EMDAD in 1997 as a sales and operations engineer. In 2000, Al Ramahi joined Halliburton and held several positions within the company for 14 years in the roles of business development and regional management. Subsequently, Al Ramahi joined ADNOC Onshore Drilling where he stayed until 2017.
Executive business, entrepreneurial and inspirational leader with more than 32 years of professional experience, Al Ramahi is known for maximizing operational excellence and delivering exceptional financial performance, in addition to driving EMDAD’s brand growth. Directly reporting to EMDAD’s Chief Executive Officer, Al Ramahi has been leading a diverse team of 400+ professionals in upstream services and Business Development.
He has received multiple awards throughout his decades-long career, including the Halliburton Maximum Value-Added Performance Award (MVP by CEO). Demonstrated leadership and business growth track record, Finance experience, strategic analytical thinking, highly energetic with high ethical standard, developing talent and teams to achieve their potential and build management depth for results with customer focus. Al Ramahi holds a Bachelor of Science/Engineering (BSc) degree in Geology and Environment from YU, in addition to a degree from the Executive Leadership Program at Texas A&M University. He is active in a number of business-oriented and non-profitable organizations, such as SPE, having also performed the role of the SPWLA UAE Vice President.
