Cluster President for Gulf Countries, Schneider Electric

Amel Chadli is the President of Schneider Electric’s Gulf Cluster. She is also a key member of the Schneider Electric Middle East and Africa Executive Leadership Team. Amel has been instrumental in accelerating the company’s adoption of AI-powered solutions in sustainability, energy management, and industrial automation. Additionally, she also drove the digitalization of decarbonization, resiliency and efficiency through digitalization of buildings and power infrastructure across the Middle East and Africa in her previous role as Vice President for Digital Energy and Energy Management Software for the MEA region. Since assuming her current role in 2024, Amel has significantly supported the local AI movement by establishing local prefabrication for "Made in UAE" AI-ready data centers. This initiative enhances the local economy and equips the region with advanced facilities for AI advancements. Additionally, Amel led the development of Schneider Electric's new headquarters in Dubai, The Nest, which emphasizes sustainability and people-centricity. The building uses Schneider Electric's technology to create the first-of-its-kind Impact building. In The NEST, AI is employed to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency by optimizing HVAC consumption while maintaining comfort. Additionally, AI enhances operational efficiency through predictive maintenance. Amel's leadership in these projects highlights her dedication to innovation and sustainability, making notable strides in the local AI movement and sustainable infrastructure development. Amel previously headed one of the company’s fastest- growing digital energy businesses across the region, spearheading smart infrastructure projects, and advancing energy digitalization. Her nearly 20-year journey spans financial leadership, strategy, and cross-regional business development. A recognized thought leader, Amel actively contributes to the industry through her participation on various local, regional, and global boards and associations, including being an Executive Committee member of the World Utilities Congress, Executive Member of the RES4Africa organization, Chair of the Technology Committee at the International Women Board of Directors, and member of the Dubai Businesswomen Council. Amel has been recognized on various occasions throughout her career by leading industry bodies and media outlets. Most recently, Amel was among the Forbes Middle East’s 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen 2025 list. Amel was also the only woman in the Top 50 Power List of Utilities Middle East Magazine for 2024, and one of two women in Middle East Economy Top 30 Tech Leaders for 2024. Public Amel holds a master’s degree in law, political science, and international finance from the University of La Sorbonne France, a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Paris Pantheon Assas University, as well as multiple executive education programs with leading academic institutions such as INSEAD and others.
