Ammar Al Assam is CEO of Dewan Architects + Engineers, leading its evolution into a
global, multidisciplinary design consultancy. Since 2014, he has driven expansion across
the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia, including the acquisition of Singaporebased DesignLab. Today, Dewan comprises more than 1,000 professionals across eight
offices, delivering residential, hospitality, commercial, mixed-use, education, cultural, and
urban planning projects for leading public and private sector clients.
Ammar holds both a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and an MBA from McGill
University in Montreal
