Benjamin Mee

Benjamin Mee assumed the role of Executive Director for HyTerra Ltd in April 2023. In his capacity as Director and Board member, he aims to deliver HyTerra’s clear mission to explore and produce low cost, low carbon hydrogen made by nature.

Ben has over 25 years of international oil and gas experience with proven leadership and delivery across exploration, appraisal, development, and field production within both onshore and offshore businesses in various locations around the world. He recently served as Exploration Manager Deepwater Africa for Shell, during which time significant petroleum discoveries were made. Additionally, he has served as Exploration Manager Egypt and Development Manager Unconventionals Russia for Shell. Ben was also Shell’s Group Portfolio Manager in the Strategy department for 3 years, supporting Executive Committee portfolio decisions and capital allocation. At the start of his career, Ben also enjoyed various geoscience expertise positions across Australia, USA, Netherlands, and various sub-Saharan countries for both Woodside and Shell. Ben and his family moved back to Australia in late-2022.

Ben holds degrees in geology and geophysics from Curtin University and University of South Australia.
