With more than two decades of distinguished experience, Captain Saif plays a pivotal role in advancing Abu Dhabi's position as a global maritime hub and a leader in sustainability innovation. As CEO of Abu Dhabi Maritime, the captain is responsible for developing and implementing the emirate's maritime strategy and regulations, managing waterways and licensing activities, overseeing public maritime facilities, and operating Abu Dhabi's public water transport services. As AD Ports Group Chief Sustainability & Risk Officer, he is the architect of the Group's Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, driving initiatives that align with global sustainability standards. In addition, Captain Saif leads the Group’s Risk and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) functions, championing a safety-first culture through ISO 45001-certified systems, rigorous training programmes, and regular audits. His leadership ensures compliance with global standards and fosters continuous improvement in safety and resilience planning, safeguarding personnel, assets, and operations.
