Dr. Dimitrios Kafetzis is the Medical Director and Founding Doctor of Almond Blossoms Fertility & Wellbeing Centre, Dubai. A Consultant in Reproductive Endocrinology, IVF, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, he brings over 16 years of international experience in fertility medicine and women’s health.
Dr. Kafetzis completed his medical degree at Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, before moving to the United Kingdom to pursue advanced specialization. He holds a Master’s Degree in Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine from University College London (UCL), awarded with Distinction, and is accredited by the British Fertility Society. He trained and practiced at leading IVF centres on London’s Harley Street, including ARGC, London Women’s Clinic, and Newlife Fertility Clinic.
Prior to founding Almond Blossoms, he served as Medical Director of Orchid IVF, Dubai, from its establishment in 2016. His clinical expertise spans complex and unexplained infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, individualized IVF and ICSI protocols, genetic testing (PGT-A, PGT-M), fertility preservation, and hormonal disorders including PCOS and endometriosis.
An internationally recognized Key Opinion Leader in reproductive medicine, Dr. Kafetzis is a regular contributor to major global fertility conferences including ESHRE, ASRM, and MEFS. He is committed to advancing personalized, evidence-based fertility care across the UAE and beyond.
