Dr Norran H Said is a breast imaging & interventional radiologist. She held the position of chief breast radiologist & deputy executive director of Egypt’s Breast Screening Program from 2019 to 2025 and is currently steering committee member of the Egyptian Presidential Initiative on Women’s Health.
In 2004, she co-founded the Egyptian society of women’s health, where she is now President Elect, organizing more than 25 breast imaging conferences & courses. Through society, she pursued her passion for breast cancer early detection, by presenting at more than 30 women’s health seminars & organizing public awareness events. In that vein, she built a successful social media platform that targets women all over the middle east.
In 2011, she completed the Derek Harwood Nash Fellowship by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) for training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University.
As a passionate specialist in breast imaging & intervention, her research continues to address challenges on both local and international levels, presenting studies on breast imaging at the RSNA and ECR. She is also an abstract reviewer for the RSNA, and SBI, and former Vice Chair of the SBI social media committee, as well as current member of the international committee. She is also an invited instructor at the RSNA Breast biopsy workshop, and the BD Breast Intervention masterclass. Recently, she was appointed board member of the Emirates Breast Imaging Society.
In addition, Dr Norran has acquired an executive management diploma at the American University in Cairo. In 2013 she co-founded Seha Scan, a private radiology center where she was acting CEO, until she moved to UAE in 2025,
where she is now Division Chief of Breast Radiology, at Alzahraa Hospital, Dubai.
