Dr. Paul Aoun is an endocrinology consultant at the American Hospital Dubai. Dr. Aoun completed his medical education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center followed by an internal medicine residency and chief residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital Program in Baltimore, Maryland and a clinical fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then practiced for 7 years in Palm Beach, Florida before relocating in 2018 to the UAE to join the American Hospital Dubai as an endocrinology consultant. Dr. Aoun earned also a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in neuro-endocrinology. His academic and research experiences encompass multiple disciplines in endocrinology. He held numerous leadership positions throughout his career. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Gulf Medical University and served for five years as an Affiliate Assistant Professor to the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine before relocating to Dubai.
