Dr. Reem AlShinawi joined the Health Holding Company in early 2024, coinciding with the beginning of the second phase of the transformation of the health sector in the Kingdom and after the completion of the launch of the company's twenty health clusters, where she will work through her position as a governance consultant in establishing and activating institutional and Healthcare governance in the Health Holding Company and its health clusters. Dr. Reem AlShinawi has a variety of experience between clinical and corporate governance, as she served as the Executive Director of the Governance and Compliance Department at the Eastern Health Cluster, established the Corporate Compliance Department in the Eastern Health Cluster, and established the Integrated Ethics Program, which deals with the governance of the health field, providing advice regarding errors, medical negligence, ethical issues and leadership training. She participated in the establishment of the new health system of the Health Sector Transformation Program. Dr. Reem AlShinawi issued a reference book on privacy regulations and healthcare governance, and contributed directly to a number of initiatives concerned with the governance of medical error and negligence to improve the governance of the health system in the Kingdom and prepare specialized regulations. Dr. Reem holds a PhD in Global Care Ethics & Medical Law Track, a Master's degree in Healthcare Ethics, and another Master's degree in Medical Law and Ethics, in addition to a Fellowship in Leadership, Crisis Management and Patient Safety and an Executive Diploma from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Leadership and Change. In addition to her position, Dr. Reem AlShinawi holds the position of Vice President and member of a number of national committees, most notably: * Member of the National Committee for Judicial Orientation. * Member of the National Committee for Donation and Organ Transplantation Ethics. * Vice Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee at the Public Health Authority.
