Hugo Hagen is Vice President and Head of Global Health Unit at Bayer. He plays a pivotal role in advancing Bayer's mission through focusing on expanding access to essential medicines and empowering underserved communities, particularly in over 50 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where Bayer has little or no presence. With extensive experience in advancing high-growth markets, Hugo has consistently championed innovation, driven social and environmental impact and prioritized cultivating key strategic collaborations. Hugo previously served as the Senior Bayer Representative (SBR) for the Middle East and serves as the Country Division Head (CDH) for Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals Division in the Middle East and North Africa. With over 12 years of experience at Bayer alone, Hugo’s role is intrinsic to supporting Bayer’s commitment of transforming healthcare solutions and driving sustainable impact in the region.
