Karl W Feilder is regarded as the pioneer of alternative fuels in the Middle East, since founding Neutral Fuels in Dubai in 2011, the leading biodiesel producer in the Middle East. He has won many awards for his pioneering business model, best in class conversion efficiency, unique software, and hardware based UCO collection technologies Prior to Neutral Fuels, Karl spent three years running over a hundred decarbonising technology assessments while steering DHL’s global climate change agenda at board level. He then moved to Dubai to evolve McDonald’s sustainability strategy for 37 countries – in each case deploying in-house developed software and hardware solutions. Karl regularly speaks to both university and high school students, as well as C level executives, to share his practical experiences with innovative technologies, and he mentors start-ups in the ESG tech space. Karl’s first degree is in Engineering, and his MBA focused on the psychology of start-ups. In 1995, he sold his first software start-up to Microsoft, and subsequently started and sold six more technology companies spanning networking software, encryption, Internet of Things, and wireless. He has also taken two technology companies all the way to IPO.
