Khaled Ahmed Sharbatly

Khaled Sharbatly is a Saudi entrepreneur and investor shaping the future of renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and impact-driven innovation across the MENA region. He is currently the CEO of Desert Technologies, where he helped transform the business from a niche player into a globally active platform with operations in over 25 countries—driving profitability through strategic partnerships, investments, and localized manufacturing.

Khaled began his journey with early-stage startups and gained access to regional markets through his family office, Al-Nahla Group, where he now serves as an investment advisor. In 2018, he joined Desert Technologies through the acquisition of his company, Icons Shared Energy, and has since played a pivotal role in scaling the group’s international footprint.

As Chairman of the National Entrepreneurship Committee under the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and a Board Member of the Jeddah Chamber, Khaled is actively engaged in policy, industrial transformation, and SME growth. He has spoken at 30+ international forums including COP, championing entrepreneurship, energy transition, and youth empowerment.
