Khaled Sharbatly

Khaled Sharbatly is a Saudi entrepreneur and investor advancing the future of renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and impact-driven innovation across the MENA region. As CEO of Desert Technologies, he has led the company’s evolution from a niche solar manufacturer into a globally active energy and infrastructure platform operating across more than 25 countries—driving profitability through strategic partnerships, advanced manufacturing, and scalable investment models.

Khaled plays an active role in shaping the region’s innovation and investment landscape. He advises his family office, Alnahla Group, on strategic investments; serves as Chairman of Horizon Group, where he expands regional hospitality and infrastructure ventures; and sits on the Board of Life Ventures Capital, supporting the growth and localization of frontier health and life sciences technologies.

In his public leadership roles, Khaled contributes to national efforts that strengthen entrepreneurship and industrial development. As Chairman of the National Entrepreneurship Committee under the Federation of Saudi Chambers and a Board Member of the Jeddah Chamber, he supports initiatives that enhance SME competitiveness, foster industrial localization, and encourage the adoption of emerging technologies. He has spoken at more than 30 international forums—including the UN and COP—advocating for energy transition, sustainable growth, and youth empowerment across emerging markets.

A graduate of the University of Miami (B.B.A.) with executive education at Harvard, London Business School, and the United Nations, Khaled is committed to lifelong learning and building ecosystems that merge climate resilience, digital infrastructure, and accessible capital.
