Khaleefa Almheiri is the Acting Chief Operating Officer of Masdar, where he oversees operational performance across the company’s global clean energy portfolio and supports the delivery of its strategic growth objectives. Prior to assuming his current role, Khaleefa served as Director of Portfolio Management at Masdar from August 2023, overseeing the performance and strategic development of the company’s growing portfolio of clean energy investments and projects worldwide. Khaleefa brings more than 17 years of experience spanning the energy, industrial, and public sectors. Before joining Masdar, he served as Acting Chief Executive Officer of TA’ZIZ, where he helped advance the development of large-scale industrial and chemicals projects in support of the UAE’s economic diversification agenda. He was also previously Acting Senior Vice President of Oil and Chemicals Business at ADNOC Group, contributing to the growth and optimization of ADNOC’s downstream and chemicals portfolio, and he has also served as Director at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development. Khaleefa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, which he earned in 2007.
