Maggie Nassif is the Executive Director of the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt. The Fulbright Program is the flagship U.S. government funded educational and cultural exchange program, and the Egypt Commission is the oldest and largest in the MENA region. Dr. Nassif has extensive work experience in the U.S. and with educational programs in the Arab world in countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Qatar, and the UAE. She studied business at the Wharton School of Business and ASU where she completed her MBA in 2005. In addition, she has a PhD in literature and post-colonial theory. She has held several executive positions in prestigious U.S. universities such as the Director of the Arabic Summer MBA Program for the Wharton School of Business/Lauder Institute, Administrative Director of the U.S. Department of Education funded National Middle East Language Research Center and Director of ESL at the State University of New York. She taught Women Studies, Business Culture, Critical Reasoning and Writing, ESL and Translation at the University of Pennsylvania, Penn State, Drexel University, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the College of Notre Dame, and the American University in Cairo. Prior to joining the Fulbright Commission in Egypt, she was involved in numerous nationwide studies in the U.S. and international projects to aid American students with job preparedness skills for the global market through developing experiential learning models, online programs, and international internships.
