Marjan Faraidooni is a UAE national with more than twenty years of public-sector experience spanning strategy, people development, and community engagement. Her work sits at the intersection of culture, sustainability, and civic life, where she focuses on building programs that foster learning and meaningful connection. During her eight years with Expo 2020 Dubai, Marjan helped shape the event’s long-term vision and led the legacy strategy that guided its transition into Expo City Dubai, a future-oriented urban district. As Chief Experience Officer, she oversaw thematic exhibitions, youth initiatives, and visitor journeys. Alongside this, she also led the Human Resources Division. She directed Expo 2020’s volunteer engagement programme, one of the largest in the region, and developed internal communication and engagement strategies that fostered unity and purpose across a vast, diverse workforce. Following the event, she guided the successful offboarding process of thousands of staff and went on to design a new HR framework to support the evolution of Expo City Dubai. Today, Marjan continues to oversee both HR and the Education & Culture Division at Expo City Dubai, ensuring that people remain at the heart of its transformation. Marjan holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology.
