Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi is Senior Vice President at TECOM Group PJSC, a champion of business
excellence that has contributed to Dubai’s diversified economic growth since 1999. With more than
two decades of professional experience, Janahi oversees assets within the Group’s Science and
Education Clusters, including Dubai Science Park, Dubai Knowledge Park, and Dubai International
Academic City.
At Dubai Science Park, Janahi has been instrumental in establishing the district as the region’s premier
hub for scientific research and innovation. The ecosystem comprises 500+ globally renowned
companies, including healthcare leaders such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Bayer. He also oversees Dubai
Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City, part of TECOM Group's Education Cluster and
home to more than 33,500 students across globally renowned universities, institutions, and academies
including the University of Birmingham, S P Jain School of Global Management, and the Protocol
School of Washington.
An avid proponent of innovation and entrepreneurship, Janahi leverages synergies in the science and
education sectors to support sustainable economic development as envisioned by Dubai Economic
Agenda 'D33'. Janahi represents Emirates Investment Authority as board member for Aster GCC, and
his commitment to advancing Dubai's healthcare sector is evident in his role as Chair of the
Pharmaceuticals and Medical Equipment Taskforce, where he collaborates with the Executive Council
to bolster R&D, infrastructure, and manufacturing capabilities.
His early career foundation encompasses commercial success at Davidoff and analytical expertise
honed at DUBAL, showcasing a diverse skillset applicable to driving strategic initiatives.
Janahi holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas in Arlington and has expanded his
professional horizons through the INSEAD-UAE Consortium for Executive Development, the Cranfield
General Management, and the UAE Future Leaders programmes. His industry development-focused
positions include leadership roles at the UAE Pharma Business Group and the UAE Rare Disease
Society.
