Matthias Büchler is the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). With more than 20 years of experience in corporate strategy and a strong track record of driving financial growth for leading European and Middle Eastern financial institutions, he leads the development and execution of ADX’s corporate strategy and its digital transformation commitment.
Prior to joining ADX, Mr. Büchler was with RAKBANK where he was appointed by the Board of Directors to review, define and execute the bank’s group-wide strategy and transform its operating model. He also held senior strategy roles at National Bank of Abu Dhabi and Mashreq Bank and started his career as a strategy consultant with Roland Berger in Zurich.
Mr. Büchler holds an Executive MBA from London Business School, a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Bern, and a master’s qualification in Audit & Consulting with EAP European School of Management.
