Mohamed Fathy is an Egyptian media personality, financial strategist, and analyst with more than 15 years of professional experience across broadcasting, financial research, and market strategy. He currently serves as a Senior Business News Presenter at Asharq Business with Bloomberg, where he anchors two flagship shows.
He leads The Evening Session, a daily program dedicated to international markets and investments, where he conducts in-depth interviews with top Wall Street analysts and global market experts. He also anchors TAQA+, an award-winning augmented reality show that delivers cutting-edge coverage of global energy markets.
Fathy joined Asharq News in August 2020, bringing his expertise in financial markets to the screen. Prior to that, he began his media career at CNBC Arabia, first as a business news producer before transitioning to presenting. There, he hosted several programs, including the live daily shows The Compass and The Market Path, along with the weekly program Kalam Maasoul.
Before moving into broadcasting, Fathy built a strong foundation in financial research and market strategy. He worked as a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Tradepedia in Dubai, providing economic and investment analysis, and later as Chief FX Strategist at Caveo Investments in Kuwait, where he specialized in foreign exchange markets and portfolio performance. His career began at Arabic Trader in Egypt, where he conducted financial and business research, trained market dealers, prepared educational materials, and contributed to the development of automated trading systems.
In addition to his media and market career, Mohamed Fathy is the author of Alforex Khatwah Be-Khatwah, one of the bestselling Arabic-language guides on forex trading. He holds a BA in Accounting and Public Finance from Cairo University.
