Mohammed Al-Othman heads the Consumer & Digital Banking at the National Bank of Kuwait, the largest bank in Kuwait and one of the oldest in the region. He has over 21 years of experience across various roles in Kuwait banking industry. Mohammed leads a team of 1,700 professionals, caters to a customer base of over 1 million and is responsible for setting and execution of NBK’s business strategy, in line with three strategic cornerstones: maintaining leadership position, growing by accessing segments beyond core; and delivering consistent improvements in profitability. Mohammed heads the consumer banking product portfolio (cards, loans and liabilities), customer-facing channels like digital, contact center, direct sales, direct channels (ATM, ITM etc.), the largest branch network (66 branches), as well as the largest payment acquiring unit and business banking. He has been instrumental in the introduction of multiple first-in-market products as well as services and accelerated digital transformation through the Digital First strategy, while ensuring continued emphasis on customer experience.
