Safeya Borhan

With over 20 years of experience in the non-banking financial sector, Safeya currently holds the position of Corporate Chief Legal, Governance, and Corporate Affairs Officer at the group. She is also the Secretary-General of the Consumer Finance Federation and a lecturer at the Financial Services Institute, the training arm of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). Throughout her career, she has demonstrated competence and excellence in her field and has become one of the leading influencers in corporate affairs, governance, and sustainability. She successfully integrated governance & sustainability applications into several companies, significantly enhancing their efficiency and productivity.

Safeya is among the pioneering leaders in the capital market who transformed the Corporate Affairs and Governance Unit from a purely operational department into a dynamic sector with various units, each playing an influential and proactive role. Her leadership serves as a model for other institutions and a benchmark for corporate governance and business sustainability.

She played a vital role in engaging with regulatory and supervisory authorities to discuss the development of legislation and regulatory frameworks for the consumer finance market. She actively participated in all related activities and contributed to the initiative making " Contact Credit" the first consumer finance company in the Egyptian market in accordance with Law No. 18 of 2020.

She also played a key role in the development of Contact Financial Holding over the years by introducing innovative ideas and solutions to ensure the effective application of market regulations and the principles of sound governance. Her contributions have had a significant impact not only on the group's companies but also on the non-banking financial sector in general.

Throughout her career, she has accumulated extensive experience and achievements and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from ESLSCA University.
