Sameh M. Azzam is a senior pharmaceutical and biotechnology executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the Middle East and North Africa. He currently serves as Senior Director, Biotechnology - MENA at Hikma Pharmaceuticals, where he leads the regional biotechnology business and drives strategic growth across biosimilars, innovative biologics, precision medicine, genomics, immuno-oncology, and emerging advanced therapies. Throughout his career, Sameh has held senior leadership positions with leading healthcare organizations including Eisai, AstraZeneca, and Hikma Pharmaceuticals, building extensive expertise in commercial strategy, market access, business development, government affairs, organizational transformation, and strategic partnerships. He works closely with regulators, healthcare authorities, payers, healthcare institutions, and key opinion leaders across the region to expand patient access to innovative healthcare solutions. A pharmacist by training, Sameh holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Jordan and remains committed to advancing healthcare innovation, fostering strategic collaborations, and accelerating access to high-quality biological and precision medicines throughout the MENA region.
