Sarah Badr currently serves as the General Coordinator of the World Youth Forum (WYF), a dynamic platform that empowers global youth to exchange perspectives and propose initiatives to influential policymakers and world leaders. Prior to this, she served as the official spokesperson of the WYF. In her role as spokesperson, Badr has been dedicated to advancing youth participation in sustainable development, peacebuilding, and policy and decision-making, the foundational pillars of the WYF. As a passionate youth activist, Sarah actively fosters dialogues and collaborations on pressing global issues, including migration, climate change, and sustainable development. Her involvement extends to her role as a Regional Facilitator with the United Nations Network on Migration, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration. Additionally, she served for the UN Major Group for Children and Youth - Migration Platform where she eloquently represents the voices and interests of young people from the Middle East and Africa region in policy discussions and advocacy initiatives, particularly during the first GCM reviews in the Arab Region. Sarah Badr's dedication to youth and migration issues has earned her the prestigious appointment as an African Youth Migration Ambassador by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the African Union. In this capacity, she champions the critical role of youth in policy advocacy on migration matters. With a strong academic background, Sarah holds a master's degree in engineering and finance from Imperial College London, complemented by a diploma in Applied Geophysics and a bachelor's degree in Geoscience from Alexandria University. She is also a graduate of the Presidential Leadership Program in Egypt. Leveraging her extensive expertise as a Senior Expert in the Energy field, she serves as an innovation focal point for artificial intelligence (AI) projects at SLB, the global leader in technology solutions for the energy industry. Her technical proficiency and domain knowledge empower her to apply AI solutions that enhance the performance and efficiency of energy exploration and production operations.
