Sherif is one of the co-founders of FlapKap, a startup with over $37 million in funding that is leveraging data to address the $170 billion financing gap in the region. Prior to FlapKap, Sherif worked at Helios Investment Partners, the largest private equity fund focused on investing in Africa, as an Investment Associate. At Helios, Sherif worked across multiple countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, and Egypt, as well as across different verticals such as renewable energy, digital infrastructure, and fintech. Sherif started his career at Lazard’s Software M&A team, where he worked closely with leading software and private equity firms to advise them on their buy and sell-side strategies.
