On June 1st, 2021, Laszlo Svinger was appointed Vice President & Managing Director Middle East and Africa [MEA] to continue strengthening 3M’s footprint both regionally and globally. His career at 3M was preceded by 11 successful years in the Oil and Gas Industry at ExxonMobil and ENI (Agip).​ Joining 3M Hungary in 2008, Laszlo Svinger began his career as a Business Development Manager in Safety, Security and Protection Systems [SSPS], now known as the Industrial Business. In 2010, Laszlo was appointed to the position of Country Business Leader, Healthcare Business Group [HCBG] for 3M Hungary. Under his stewardship the group thrived, and in 2012 he was moved to 3M Russia, where he led healthcare successfully for four years. In 2016, Laszlo was promoted and relocated to the Middle East in his capacity as Area Business Director HCBG, working across all countries in Central and East Europe and Middle East Africa [CEEMEA]. After a successful spell in this area role, Laszlo took the helm of the MEA region as Regional Business Group Director of the HCBG from 2019. At the beginning of 2021, he also became the Area Division Director of the Food Safety Division of Europe Middle East and Africa [EMEA]. Laszlo holds a Middlesex University MBA and degree in Economy from the University of Pecs in Hungary. Prior, the academically trained economist graduated in Engineering from the University of Advanced Technologies, in Gyor, Hungary. The regional Vice President and Managing Director MEA is trilingual in Hungarian, English and Russian.

His Excellency Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri is the Assistant Undersecretary of Health Regulations Sector at the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) His Excellency Dr. Al Amiri got his Ph.D. and Ms.C. in Medical Science in 2003 from the Faculty of Medicine; Aberdeen University in Scotland; UK. He is responsible for the following departments at MoHAP: Drug Department. Control, Audit and Inspection Department Licensing and Accreditation Department. Standards and Guidelines Department. Organ Donation and Transplantation Office.

Cara Nazari

Born and raised in the USA, Cara has called Dubai home for 29 years.   She is a versatile leader committed to providing strategic direction, vision, and management for programs/events and personnel. Cara’s passion for people led her to serve in the private and non-profit sectors providing some unparalleled event production opportunities.   She has worked with the highest levels of leadership of Dubai and the UAE and has hosted events for President Jimmy Carter, President George HW Bush, and President Bill Clinton. As Managing Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Dubai since 2008, Cara’s demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, member sales and services, program management, economic development, public policy, nonprofit governance and operations, finance and accounting, public speaking and fundraising work to facilitate financial stability and sound governance. In her spare time, Cara is a wife and mother to three amazing children.  As global citizen’s, they enjoy their time together when they are able to be together as a family when lucky enough to have everyone on the same continent!

Camila Durlacher

“Camila Cruz Durlacher is a Chemist with masters in Polymer Science, obtained from prestigious Brazilian universities.  She has been working for over 20 years at 3M and today holds the position of Vice President of R&D Operations for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In her experience with the company, she has worked in product development, intellectual property, quality and regulatory affairs, and has managed laboratories in Brazil, Argentina and USA, ranging from local to global responsibilities. In 2019 Camila moved to Germany with her family, where she is currently leading the laboratories in the objective of driving efforts to strengthen and accelerate the development of new technologies, creating integrated solutions that meet the needs of the market and especially the customers. Camila is also highly involved in initiatives dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in organizations, with a special interest in advancing women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).”

Jad Bitar

Jad Bitar is a Managing Director & Partner at The Boston Consulting Group, Dubai office. Jad leads the healthcare practice in the Middle East region. As part of his role, Jad provides expert advisory services to a portfolio of public and private sector clients, ranging from ministries to providers and payers. His responsibilities comprise leading large-scale transformation projects; developing national strategies; ensuring operational excellence; and driving innovation for clients. He has deep expertise in leading change in large systems supporting leadership teams design, implement and govern these transformations. Jad is a seasoned consultant with over 25 years of professional experience working in the private and public sector in North America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Jad holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal. He also obtained a graduate degree in Health Management and another in Finance from McGill University and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Concordia University.

Dr. Patrick Noack

Dr. Patrick Noack is Executive Director: Future, Foresight and Imagination, at the Dubai Future Foundation, where he manages three teams: Dubai Future Research is the research arm of the foundation and provides thought leadership on emerging technologies, social impacts and cross-domain topics; Dubai Future Councils which were established to explore how 13 key sectors could be re-imagined to be fit for the future; the World Economic Forum’s UAE Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution which develops policy-oriented research in the 4IR domains of relevant to the UAE. Prior to this role he was senior policy adviser at the Royal Society where he led on emerging technologies and foresight. He was responsible for a landmark report on neural interface technologies – iHuman – which aimed at exploring the forthcoming scientific opportunities and the social and policy implications. In the years prior, he has developed scenarios and foresight on complex issues with United Nations specialised agencies and in the private sector. Patrick holds a master’s in social policy from the LSE and a doctorate in zoology from the university of Aberdeen.
