Hayat Biotech’s Senior Advisor and Head of Research and Development, Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi is a highly accomplished infectious diseases consultant and an esteemed figure in the field. She has been the Chair of the SEHA Infectious Diseases and Infection Control Council since 2012 and previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.
In recognition of her invaluable contributions to public health, she was appointed as the Chair of the National Covid-19 Clinical Committee in February 2020. Dr. Al Kaabi is also a renowned pediatric consultant who has made significant contributions to her field. An accomplished researcher, Dr. Al Kaabi has published numerous papers and has presented her findings at several international conferences, as well as serves as the Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials. Furthermore, Dr. Nawal is a member of the WHO Guideline Development Group for Monkeypox and was part of the experts that developed WHO guiding principles for pathogen genome data sharing.

She serves as the Principal Investigator of multiple clinical trials, including the randomized, double-blind, parallel placebo-controlled, phase III clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccines in the healthy population aged 18 years old and above.
