Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi is the Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Bone Marrow Transplant Program (AD-BMT©) at Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC), and Vice-Chair of UAE National MS Society Board of Trustees. She obtained her MPH in 2001 from Bloomberg School of Public Health, John Hopkins University; MSc in Cancer in 2012 from the University College of London; and did her fellowship in hematology in the Royal Free Hospital, in the United Kingdom. Dr. Al Kaabi has held multiple senior positions in the past including the Head of Adult Hematology/Oncology and Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC).
A leading healthcare influencer, Her Excellency Dr Maryam Matar pioneered the study of genes and advocates public education and awareness of genetic disorders across the ME region. As a medical doctor, Dr. Matar's significant contributions have earned her recognition as one of the top 20 Arab researchers with the most profound impact on humanity, and she has achieved several historic milestones, including being the first Emirati woman to hold the position of Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in 2006.
Maqsoud Kruse grew up in a multicultural and multiethnic family environment to a German father and an Emirati mother, which enabled him to have a deep understanding of cultural and social influences on oneself and on others as well as appreciating the values of tolerance, coexistence, and diversity. Discovering his passion for Psychology at the early age of thirteen, he has been ever since interested in mental health and wellness, the cultivation of human potential, and the identification of giftedness and special abilities. This is reflected in his broad and interdisciplinary intellectual and scientific interests that include but are not limited to Clinical Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Psychological and Neurological Sciences, Gifted Education, Strategic Studies, Political Propaganda, Tolerance, Extremism and Terrorism, Political Islam, and Contemporary Arabic Thought. In the same year, he published a study titled "The Challenges of Developing Inclusive Curriculum for Gifted Students in The United Arab Emirates" that was also published by Trends Research & Advisory. In 2019, Kruse published a book chapter in Arabic titled “The Psychological Foundations of Tolerance” that was published by the Sultan Bin Zayed Center. In the same year, he published his paper titled “Towards A Neurological Model of Giftedness: A Conceptual Perspective” at the 4th International Conference on Educational Neuroscience. His paper titled “Countering Violent Extremism Strategies in the Muslim World” appeared in “The ANNALS” of The American Academy of Political and Social Science in 2016. Kruse has been serving as the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Institution in the United Arab Emirates since its inception in 2021, in which he’s been dedicating part of his work to the advocacy and promotion of the “Right to Mental Health”.

Notably, she is among the few psychotherapists in the Gulf region employing innovative techniques such as Hypnotherapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET) for PTSD, honed during her training at Harvard University. Hayat Biotech's Senior Advisor and Head of Research and Development, Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi is a highly accomplished infectious diseases consultant and an esteemed figure in the field. She has been the Chair of the SEHA Infectious Diseases and Infection Control Council since 2012 and previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Dr. Naser Ammash is a Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, and a Consultant in Cardiovascular (CV) Department at Mayo Clinic, Rochester since 1995. Dr. Ammash is the CEO of Sheik Shakhbout Medical City, a joint venture between Mayo Clinic and Abu Dhabi heath authority since 2019. His past administrative leadership roles at Mayo Clinic include; Vice-Chair, for practice, of the CV Department at Mayo Clinic Rochester, and Chair of the CV Clinical Practice Committee for Rochester and Mayo Clinic enterprise (2014-2018), co-director of the Echocardiography laboratory (2011-2014), chair of Echocardiography Clinical Practice Committee (2011-2014), director of Echocardiography training program (2008-2011). Dr Ammash also served as a member of the Midwest Specialty Care CPC Space and Remodeling Subcommittee (2016-2018). Dr. Ammash is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, with subspecialty certification in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Echocardiography. Dr. Ammash has a Silver Level Certification from the Quality acaddemy. He attended the American University of Beirut- Lebanon and moved to the United States in 1987. Dr Ammash served on the American Board of Internal Medicine testing writing committee for the Adult Congenital Heart Disease board certification examination until 2019. Habiba alsafar is an Emirati research scholar who has a wealth of professional and educational experience. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in biochemistry at San Diego State University, United States of America and later her Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Engineering at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. She subsequently obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical and Forensic Science at the University of Western Australia in Australia. She has since completed a one-year Global Clinical Scholars Research Training program at Harvard Medical School. Her research interest is constructing the genomic structures of individuals of Arab descent to identify genomic segments that carry gene(s) that predispose to disease. Specifically, addressing diseases that are increasing in prevalence amongst the local communities of the UAE. Dr. Alsafar has identified a gene strongly associated with the prevalence of Type 2 diabetes among the Emirati population. This is the first Genome Wide Association Study of the UAE Bedouin population and first of its kind in the Middle East. Her passion for genome has led to the description of the first whole genome sequence of Emirati subjects, insights into the genetic diversity of the population of the UAE and most recently, the description of a reference genome for the UAE population.
Alex Aliper, PhD, is the President of Insilico Medicine. He pioneered the application of AI in multi-omics data for drug discovery and drug repurposing, generative chemistry, and generative biology and put an AI-designed drug into human clinical trials. Alex built a team of over 100 AI engineers who developed state-of-the-art software products for target discovery, small molecule generation, and clinical trial outcome prediction.
Edward J. Cupler, MD, FAAN is currently the Executive Director of the Research Centre (RC) / Research and Innovation (R&I) and Consultant, Neurologist and Neuromuscular Diseases Specialist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He is also an Adjunct Professor in the College of Medicine, AlFaisal University and the founder of SANEM: Saudi Arabian Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine branch of the Saudi Neurology Society (SNS). Dr. Cupler earned his undergraduate studies and medical school at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, United States of America (USA). He completed his Internal Medicine internship at the Loyola University in Chicago and Neurology Residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston followed by a Neuromuscular Diseases Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. Dr. Cupler initially joined KFSH&RC Riyadh from 1996 to 2005, where he was actively involved in clinical research, post-graduate education and basic research. He then moved to Oregon Health Sciences University where he was the Director of the Neuromuscular Diseases Center, Director of the MDA Clinic and Co-Director of the ALS Center of Oregon and held the Associate Professor of Neurology position. He re-joined KFSH&RC Jeddah in 2010 as a Consultant and was later appointed Deputy Executive Director, RC. In 2021, he was assigned and relocated to the RC / R&I and was then appointed Executive Director in 2022. Dr. Cupler has authored numerous academic publications, book chapters, web-based educational activities and abstracts and has delivered lectures at local and international conferences globally. He has also mentored young neurologists and has conducted research throughout his career.

Eran Segal is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and adjunct Professor at Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, heading a lab with a multi-disciplinary team of computational biologists and experimental scientists in the area of Computational and Systems biology. His group has extensive experience in AI, machine learning, computational biology, and analysis of heterogeneous high-throughput genomic data. His research focuses on Microbiome, Nutrition, Genetics, and their effect on health and disease. His aim is to develop personalized medicine based on data from large-scale and deeply phenotyped human cohorts. Prof. Segal published over 200 publications that were cited over 60,000 times, and received several awards and honors for his work, including the Overton prize, awarded annually by the International Society for Bioinformatics (ICSB) to one scientist for outstanding accomplishments in computational biology, and the Michael Bruno award. He was also elected as an EMBO member and as a member of the young Israeli academy of science. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Prof. Segal developed models for analyzing the dynamics of the pandemic and served as a senior advisor to the government of Israel. Before joining the Weizmann Institute, Prof. Segal held an independent research position at Rockefeller University, New York.

Dareen won the title after completing the sit for two minutes and 8.24 seconds, and the record also makes her the first female amputee to hold a Guinness World Record in the Middle East.
