GCC hosts key primary Aluminium producers with more than 6 million MT per annum representing about 10% of the Total World Production. A key economic driver for the Gulf region, Alba was the first Aluminium smelter established in the Gulf back in 1971 with Aluminium exports representing more than 50% of non-oil exports in Bahrain.
