Shouq AlMarzook is the founder and CEO of Marzook, a Kuwaiti luxury accessories house she leads alongside her brother and creative partner, Fahad AlMarzook. What began in 2012 as handmade pieces designed for family and close friends has grown, under Shouq's leadership, into a globally recognized name in handcrafted luxury without ever losing the personal, artisanal approach that defined its first collection.
As founder and CEO, Shouq has driven every stage of Marzook's growth, from creative direction to the strategic decisions that have shaped the company's evolution. As a sibling duo, she and Fahad have grown the brand the way they design it: deliberately, interdependently, and without shortcuts. The brand's signature double-circle logo, two interlocking O's, reflects that philosophy: growth built on trust and craftsmanship rather than scale for its own sake. Every Marzook piece is handmade using precious metals, plexiglass resins, and Swarovski crystal, alongside sustainable materials including natural wood and polypropylene in place of PVC, contributing to a cleaner production footprint, drawing on Art Deco form and surrealist principles to create wearable objets d'art inspired by architecture, nature, and a design language that infuses Eastern heritage with Western design traditions.
Under Shouq's leadership, that craft-first philosophy carried Marzook onto some of the world's most selective stages. The brand has shown at Paris Fashion Week for fifteen consecutive years, held a trunk show at Bergdorf Goodman during New York Fashion Week, and partnered with Harrods and Harvey Nichols, with trunk shows held across China, Italy, Spain, the GCC, the US, Lagos and Africa, Canada, India, and Australia. Marzook's designs have earned organic celebrity placement from Beyoncé, Amal Clooney, Heidi Klum, and Oprah to Arab actresses Yousra, Nelly Karim, Amina Khalil, and more, and the brand has built strategic creative partnerships, including with acclaimed designer Linda Farrow, a Gen Z focused collaboration with Sofia Richie, and architect and designer Nada Debs, relationships chosen to add cultural and creative value without ever diluting the brand's identity or story.
It is in the company's growth strategy that Shouq's leadership has been most decisive. Since the pandemic, she has led a deliberate shift away from wholesale retail toward a direct-to-consumer model built on Marzook's own website and global trunk shows, a strategic pivot, not a retreat. Today, 80% of Marzook's business comes from direct consumer sales, with retail making up the remaining 20%, giving the company real-time insight into client demand and insulating its profitability from the financial pressures many retail partners have faced since Covid.
That same long-term thinking defines Shouq's approach to manufacturing. Rather than move production to more conventional luxury hubs, she has maintained Marzook's decade-long partnership with the same artisanal manufacturer in Lebanon; sustained through regional conflict, rising costs, and supply chain disruption. For Shouq, this is as much a social and community commitment as a creative one: sustaining skilled artisanal jobs and income in a region under real economic strain, and keeping craftsmanship, not geography, at the center of Marzook's identity.
