Randa Bessiso is the Founding Director & CEO, Middle East, of The University of Manchester – Dubai, established in 2006 and now one of the University’s largest international branches. She leads a regional team responsible for a portfolio of flexible, part-time master’s programmes and executive education short courses for working professionals. Her remit includes student recruitment and support, corporate engagement, careers services and alumni relations. Randa has led the introduction of a range of new educational products, services and initiatives. Professor Peter Goadsby is one of the world’s leading neurologists and neuroscientists, widely recognized for his pioneering research into the mechanisms of migraine and cluster headache. His work has fundamentally advanced the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of primary headache disorders, directly influencing clinical practice and improving patient outcomes worldwide. At KAUST, Professor Goadsby serves as Senior Associate to the President, where he contributes to strengthening the University’s role in advancing translational research and building collaborations that extend from laboratory discovery to healthcare systems in Saudi Arabia and beyond. A seasoned veteran with over 25 years of industry experience, Kostas Deligiannis, Zone President at GE HealthCare, is responsible for leading the operations across more than 50 countries and the company’s +1700 colleagues in EAGM, which includes the Middle East, Northeast & Sub-Saharan Africa, Turkey, Russia & CIS countries, to live its purpose to create a world where healthcare has no limits. In addition to building and nurturing customer relationships, Kostas is driving the company’s growth and increasing market share through its groundbreaking medical technology, intelligent devices, and care solutions. Kostas joined GE Healthcare in 2003 and was promoted to Sales Manager for Greece shortly after. In 2010, he became Zone Manager for Central and West Balkans, and took over the position of General Manager for Southeastern Europe in 2013. In 2018, Kostas became the General Manager for GE Healthcare in Eastern Europe. Last year, he was appointed Zone President for the Middle East, Northeast & Sub-Saharan Africa, Turkey, Russia, and CIS countries. Prof. Selwa A.F. Al-Hazzaa is a pioneering Saudi physician, scientist, and technology entrepreneur recognised for her transformative contributions to ophthalmology, artificial intelligence, and women's empowerment in Saudi Arabia. She founded SDM in 2019 after earning her Master of Science in Medical Management and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Southern California. Beside his position as the Chair of Medical and Scientific Research Council at Ahl Masr Burn Hospital, he also serves as a Consultant Plastic and Burns Surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham and as an Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham. One of the key pillars of Prof. Moiemen’s success throughout his distinguished career has been his unwavering commitment and passion to advancing burn care by combining the highest standards of patient care with cutting-edge scientific research and its practical application. Prof. Moiemen has published more than 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts in leading medical journals, in addition to contributing chapters to specialized books. His work combines education, digital innovation and data to support governments and organisations in developing measurable, scalable approaches to prevention and wellbeing. Over the past decade, he has led national and regional programmes across the Middle East, working with public and private sector partners to deliver initiatives in schools, workplaces and communities.
