The discussion unpacks the paradox between food waste and food insecurity, defines food loss and food waste across the value chain, and presents targeted actions to reduce waste at the source. The session aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 12.3, which calls for halving food loss and waste by 2030, and emphasizes the road forward for collective action.
