Florian Roser is the Chief Medical Officer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. In his role as Chief Medical Officer oversees the functions of Allied Health, Pharmacy and Clinical Risk, strengthening clinical operations and solidifying the hospital’s commitment to being the best place to receive care.

Dr. Roser, a board-certified neurosurgeon (Germany, UK, and UAE), joined Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2014 and has led the Neurological Institute as Chair since 2019. His expertise and strategic leadership have been instrumental in advancing neurological care within our organisation and in the UAE.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Roser was the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Tübingen, Germany.

Dr. Roser completed his residency in the prestigious Department of Neurosurgery, Hannover, Germany. He holds the position of Full Professor of Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Medicine at Eberhard-Karl’s University of Tübingen, Germany, and he serves as Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA. He is also Adjunct Professor at the Biomedical Engineering Faculty at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi.

Dr Roser is Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious interdisciplinary journal of Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, Elsevier.
