 Dr Abdulrahman Ibrahim Al Shaya is Chairman of Collaboration & Partnerships at the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), where he leads national and international deal-making across biotechnology investment, cross-border R&D partnerships, and strategic alliances with global institutions, investors, and industry leaders. He also serves as Scientific Advisor to the Saudi Food & Drug Authority and sits on the Ministry of Investment’s National Biotechnology Deal Flow Committee, positioning him at the center of Saudi Arabia’s biotech investment and regulatory landscape. His portfolio includes structuring the Saudi–Japanese Biotechnology Fund and advancing R&D partnerships with global life sciences institutions and investors. He holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and completed postgraduate training through Harvard-affiliated programs at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, bringing a strategy and investment lens to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 health and biotech ecosystem ambitions.
